HOLIDAY EXCHANGE PROJECT for EFSCA member countries

The Disaster Management Training Centre in Hungary submitted a project in EFSCA meeting in Barcelona, on 20th May 2010.
The project initiates to exchange holidays for the fire and rescue service training staff from EFSCA member countries.
In May 2008 Hungary organized and hosted a successful meeting for European Fire Service Colleges' Association (EFSCA) in Budapest with the title: Effects of global climate change on fire and rescue service training. The conference provided a good opportunity to get a view into the various national training structures of EFSCA member countries.

Besides the professional relationships we would like to start to set up the informal connections in EFSCA in the field of out of job activities, such as recreation.

From 1st July to 31st August 2010 within the ' Holiday Exchange' project we offer discount accommodation in our training facilities for the fire and rescue service training staff and families of EFSCA member countries.

'Exchange' means that the partner countries offer accommodation of similar standard and price.
For long term use the details of 'Holiday Exchange' program is suggested to be discussed and recorded in a bilateral statement (number of holidaymakers, forms of services, etc).
The Hungarian fire school provides rooms in its student hostel, located in Pécel, in the well accessible suburbian area of Budapest. EFSCA meeting in 2008 was held in this building.

Room rates for one night:

20 euros for adults
10 euros under 14
